ECLJ At The UN: Abortion Is Torture And A Violation Of Children’s RightsAccording to some United Nations experts, opposing abortion would be a kind of torture, it would also be a violation of children’s rights. Such an accusation is scandalous; it strongly undermines free speech and religious freedom and questions the impartiality of some prominent members of the Committee. It was formulated recently against the Holy-See by members of the UN Committee against Torture combating the teaching of the Catholic Church on the sanctity of life.

Instead the first comment from the French Foreign Minister was about climate change. In French, undoubtedly for the benefit of the French-speaking Mr. Kerry, the Fabius told the gathering, “We have 500 days to avoid the climate chaos.”

Hanging a Mother for Her Faith

Living Under the Tyranny of Pakistan’s Blasphemy Laws
ICC Note: After a series of incidents involving Pakistan's controversial blasphemy laws, one Pakistani describes what it is like to live under the tyranny of what some call the "black law." Christians and other religious minorities suffer greatly under the blasphemy laws. Disproportionately accused and convicted of blasphemy, extremists often use Pakistan's blasphemy laws as a tool for financial gain, settle personal scores or persecute religious minorities. Please pray for Christians in Pakistan who suffer everyday under the country's blasphemy laws.

With him at the helm and a majority of the new government coming from a Hindu nationalist party, will there be room for Christians in India in the near future?
