The White House Cares More About This Green Energy Project Than The National Security Risks It Poses
Only a few weeks after President Obama’s controversial decision to delay the building of the Keystone XL pipeline, the Obama administration is expected in the next several weeks to approve a 500-mile green energy transmission line project running through Arizona and New Mexico that his own Defense Department says may pose “an unacceptable risk to national security.”

Federal Judge Brings An End To Political Witch Hunt in Wisconsin
U.S. District Court Judge Rudolph Randa has put an end to a political witch hunt by local Wisconsin prosecutors that featured a secret investigation more reminiscent of a banana republic than the world’s foremost democracy. In two orders—one of which termed the prosecutors’ appeal of his decision as “frivolous”—Randa ordered local prosecutors to “cease all activities related to the investigation” and to return all of the records and documents they had seized from dozens of conservative advocacy organizations.

Christians in Orissa, India Continue to Suffer Effects of 2008 Riots
ICC Note: Almost six years after mob of radical Hindus swept across India's northeastern state of Orissa, the Christian community in that state continues to suffer. More than 50,000 Christians were left homeless following the anti-Christian riots and many of them continue to live in Christian ghettos because they are not allowed to return to their home villages. In many villages, Hindu radicals refuse to allow the Christians to return and attack them whenever the Christian attempt to rebuild their lives in their home villages. Unsympathetic local authorities have created a culture of impunity that has allowed these Hindu radicals to operate without consequence, leaving many of these homeless Christian will little option other than to continue to live in the Christian ghettos.

Prayer for the Persecuted in the Central African Republic
ICC Note: The Central African Republic (CAR) continues to suffer a nation-wide escalation in lawlessness, sectarianism, and violence following a coup d'état by Islamic insurgency, Séléka, in March of last year. Quickly ousted from power, Séléka rebels have been forced to retreat toward the CAR's borders with neighboring Cameroon and Chad, largely as result of reprisal attacks by anti-balaka (against the machete) militias. Throughout the conflict, Christians have suffered violent attacks in an culture increasingly plagued by impunity. Victimized by Séléka during its short reign, Christians initially saw the rise of the anti-balaka as a positive development, immediately seeking protection from the vigilante forces for their easily targeted communities. However, as the anti-balaka have now begun seeking out violence, Christians are now caught by fire exchanged between Séléka remnants, armed Muslim communities, and the widely feared and increasingly hated anti-balaka.

Astronomers find sun's 'long-lost brother,' pave way for family reunion
Astronomers have identified the first "sibling" of the Sun -- a star that was almost certainly born from the same cloud of gas and dust as our star. The newly developed methods for locating the Sun's 'siblings' will help other astronomers find other "solar siblings," work that could lead to an understanding of how and where our Sun formed, and how our solar system became hospitable for life.
