No, leverage is not boosting corporate returns
There’s no doubt that the Federal Reserve is the father of the stock market’s feast this year. Leverage is NOT jacking up corporate return on equity, not at least in the aggregate. Lower interest rates are forcing investors back into the stock market, and back into the same stocks that created most of the market cap in the past several years.

Engineers working on a propulsion system to enable hypersonic air travel say they have passed a development milestone. U.K.-based Reaction Engines is developing technology for Synergetic Air-Breathing Rocket Engines (SABRE), which could one day allow aircraft to fly up to five times faster than the speed of sound — that’s Mach 5 or 3,836 miles per hour. At that speed, hypersonic flights between London and Australia could be over in just four-and-a-half hours.

Perhaps contemporary Christianity simply needs a renewed appreciation of its history, in particular where its doctrine of God is concerned (for what it’s worth, these comments on the theology of “popular” Calvinism apply just as readily to “popular” Arminianism, which—when carefully examined—abandons most of the classical categories altogether). Perhaps more Reformed writers need to heed Dolezal’s admonition and return to the “God of their fathers.” But more importantly, perhaps people like me need to do a better job of not judging theologies by their most zealous present-day exponents.

Sexual orientation and gender identity policies have been used at the state and local level to attack businesses and charities, allow males into women’s sports and spaces, and politicize medicine. Even though the overwhelming majority of Americans oppose the effects of these policies, politicians are blindly pushing further forward to expand their reach. That’s not equality. That’s madness.

Entrepreneurs want to serve disabled consumers with things like plastic straws and pre-peeled oranges. But environmentalists denounce such services and products as "wasteful."
These clichés are designed to prevent critical thinking and any serious questioning of the government's latest demand for more money and power. They include "taxes are the price of civilization," "national security demands it," and many others.
