This began as a blog about my family and genealogy. but it has since expanded to include many other areas of interest, including history, current events, faith, literature, and humor. Most of all, as with life, it is a journey of discovery.

Liberty Park
Liberty Park was deeded to the city of Spokane in 1897 by F. Lewis Clark
The wading pool at Liberty Park, which was located at the southeast corner of Third and Arthur. Only two of the original 19.5 acres were left after I-90 was built in the 1960s. More acreage was subsequently added to the east end.
Stairs and pathways with a rustic look to go with the basalt ledges, pillars and outcroppings were designed by the Olmsted Brothers
