Hamas wants the best of both worlds; to be a fascist, antisemitic radical right-wing organization and have people running to whitewash it on the Left. Hamas has admitted its charter is anti-semitic and needs updating, so why have so many commentators over the years worked to whitewash its image and make it seem moderate, and even "progressive."
