Nets Push Fake News Trump Made It Easier for Mentally Ill to Buy Guns
Fresh off their disinformation campaign in the immediate aftermath of the Parkland, Florida school shooting in which they falsely claimed there had been 18 school shootings this year, the three major network news outlets (ABC, CBS, and NBC) moved on to another fake news topic they wanted to push on the American people: President Trump and the GOP made it easier for mentally ill people to buy guns.

Hillbilly Elegy and the Primacy of Personal Responsibility
J.D. Vance tells a powerful story about a remarkable and tragic way of life.
A Beer War Is Brewing in Maryland
Despite last year's baby steps toward easing legal restrictions on brewers, Maryland delegates are threatening to undo it all and make it even harder for small breweries.

Washington Senate votes to end the death penalty; Spokane County's prosecutor believes voters should decide
Washington state senators narrowly passed a bill yesterday that would put an end to capital punishment in the state. Following a passionate debate, the bill passed by a vote of 26-22 and now awaits consideration in the House. Senators opposed to the bill tried to amend it by carving out exemptions for people who kill corrections officers and by letting voters, rather than the legislature, decide — a path that Spokane County Prosecutor Larry Haskell says he prefers.

[Information from this site may not be reliable.]Years ago, Murray Rothbard wrote a piece about how stop and reverse the growing plague of socialism. It's 2018, and his plan still hasn't been implemented, but you can read it in full here. The following points of desocialization must necessarily be written or read sequentially, but they need not be carried out in that manner: all the following points could, and should, be instituted immediately and all at once.
Whenever there is a mass shooting in the media, commentators rush to figure out on what to blame the latest violence. Predictably, those who want gun control blame gun control. Others blame mental illness — and perhaps a lack of government programs related to it. Is better, more costly school security part of the solution to preventing these shootings?

Who’s Really Winning the North Korea Standoff?
Kim Jong-un may seem to have the upper hand, but the U.S. is quietly proving otherwise. In the current nuclear standoff, the United States is insidiously gaining the upper hand while North Korea becomes even poorer and more isolated.
New Gun Policies Won’t Stop Mass Shootings, but People Can
It is the responsibility of a free people to be aware, to have courage, and to care for one another. The United States is facing a puzzling paradox. Even as gun crime has plunged precipitously from the terrible highs of the early 1990s, mass shootings have increased. Consider this: 15 of the 20 worst mass shootings in U.S. history have occurred since the Columbine school shooting in 1999. The five worst have all occurred since 2007, and three of those five were in 2016 and 2017.

President Trump: Have Education Department Mandate Active Shooter Protocols
I’m a small government guy, however, it’s sadly apparent that the United States of America is paralyzed with political indecision over something the State of Israel figured out more than 40 years ago: all schools should have mandated security features and active shooter protocols.

Media ignoring 1 crucial factor in Florida school shooting
Here we go again. A horrific mass shooting occurs. Everyone is in shock and grief. Democrats blame guns and Republicans. Pundits urge the public, “If you see something, say something.” And everyone asks, “Why?” As information about the perpetrator emerges, a relative confides to a newspaper that the “troubled youth” who committed the mass murder was on psychiatric medications – you know, those powerful, little understood, mind-altering drugs with fearsome side effects including “suicidal ideation” and even “homicidal ideation.”
