J. WILLIAM ROSS
was born in the Highlands of Scotland.
died January 1824 at the City of Quebec, Lower Canada
Resided at Town of Kingston in the Province of Upper Canada,
moved to Quebec City.
Occupation: Deputy Assistant Commisary General to the forces of His majesty King George III (1760-1820) stationed at Quebec.
He signed his Last Will and Testament 6 October 1820 at Quebec, and it was probated 23 january 1824 after his death.
He married SARAH BLOW
on 25 March 1794 at St. Andrews Church, Quebec City.
she was daughter of Admiral (?) Blow
she died 18 August 1848 at Quebec City.
He, or his wife, was related to NEIL PRIMROSE, 3rd Earl of Rosebery, Scotland, who died 25 March 1814, and whose second son, the Honourable FRANCIS WARD PRIMROSE, Q.C., (1785-1860), resided in Quebec City with his two sons, FRANCIS NEIL (1832-1861), GEORGE RAMSAY (1834-1863?), and his daughter, LOUISA MAY (1836-1859), all buried in Mount Hermon Cemetery.

In 1820 was Ensign in His Majesty's Seventy Sixth Regiment of Foot, Quebec.
DRUMMOND was Baptized 29 March 1816 at St. Andrew's Church, Quebec.
24 December 1835 he married MARIA JANE BEAMISH, daughter of WILLIAM
and MARGURETTA BEAMISH who came from Ireland.
He had 10 (9) children. See Family Chart No. R-3
He died in 1856? at Lake Beauport, Q Ubec.?
