Poland shows no sign of concessions to Commission
Despite European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker signalling a possible rapprochement between the EU executive and Poland, Warsaw has given no sign of compromise in its discussions with Brussels over the rule of law. The commission last December triggered an unprecedented sanctions procedure against Poland, giving Warsaw three months to reverse judicial reforms it deems are undermining the rule of law.

Nearly 200 of America's top political scientists have voted Donald Trump the worst president in US history. Mr Trump averaged a score of 12.34, bumping James Buchanan – the president who saw the US descend into the Civil War – out of the bottom spot. The result comes just months after Trump finished his first year in office as the most unpopular president in modern history.

Marco Rubio and every other politician who accepts money soaked in blood from the extremist NRA should consider themselves on notice: You are being called out by America’s children. They have a simple message. Act like adults. Grow the hell up.

FIVE WOMEN SHOT DEAD OUTSIDE CHURCH IN DAGESTAN IMMEDIATELY AFTER RITE OF FORGIVENESS
An armed criminal opened fire on parishioners leaving the Cathedral of St. George the Victorious in the city of Kizlyar in the Russian republic of Dagestan yesterday evening. The faithful had just finished the Rite of Forgiveness when they were fired upon, resulting in the deaths of five innocent women. Two other parishioners and two security guards were also injured.
