The need for global cooperation in stopping Iran
Although during his campaign president Trump said he would tear up the Iran Nuclear Agreement, that seems unlikely now in part because the new administration wants to work with our allies on a new policy toward Iran. Do Individuals Have a Right to Do Wrong?
Even if you don’t have a duty to help any specific person at any specific time, you have a duty to be open to helping people, to make benevolence a part of your character. But because doing good and helpful things for people isn’t a duty of justice, you can’t force people to be good and helpful. You can force people not to steal or murder, because not stealing and not murdering are duties of justice. We can enforce duties of justice.

Michael Novak and America’s Moral Ecology
Leave it to Michael Novak to ennoble the bane of professionals’ existence. Less than 24 hours after they were inventoried in Seattle, the remains of the Ancient One — also known as Kennewick Man — were laid to rest at a private ceremony at an undisclosed location Saturday, according Colville tribal chairman Michael Marchand. The repatriation of the bones, which were found near the Columbia River in Kennewick in 1996, came after the five claimant tribes — the Colville, Yakama, Nez Perce, Umatilla and Wanapum — received the remains Friday.
