March Fails to Break an Alarming Trend of Death and Destruction
As the situation in Northern Nigeria continues to deteriorate, March continued an alarming trend of death and destruction for the nation's body of believers.Though often cited as the result of cultural tensions between ethnic Tivs and Fulani herdsmen, the perpetrated violence borders on classification as religious genocide. As Christians both in Nigeria and across the world continue to call on civic and governmental institutions for peace, Boko Haram and the Fulani continue to steal lives and burn churches to the ground.

The Bishop Who Said No to China
Few in the United States and Europe are aware of just how much Catholic leaders in China must sacrifice in order to stay true to their faith. Bishop Thaddeus Ma Daqin is an example. Publicly defying the Communist controlled Catholic Patriotic Association in 2012, Bishop Ma has been placed under house arrest for almost two years and forced to attend "re-education" classes. His is just one in many cases of Catholic clergy being detained or even disappearing at the hands of the Chinese government.

U.S. Air Force Base Removes Bible from ‘Missing Man Table’
In yet another incident of possible discrimination against Christianity in the U.S. Air Force, a Bible has been removed from a display in the dining hall of Patrick Air Force Base in Florida. The Bible was part of a traditional display that paid tribute to service members missing in action overseas and was allegedly removed after a dispute broke out over it's presence on the table. "The purpose of the Bible is to '[represent] the strength gained through faith to sustain those lost from our country, founded as one nation under God,' according to the Air Force Chiefs website."

Prayer for Executed Mother’s Orphaned Daughters
Following hers and her cousin's public execution at the hands of Al-Shabab radicals, Christian Aid workers yesterday called on the global community of believers to pray for Sadia Ali Omar's now-orphaned daughters, ages 8 and 15. With the help of a fellow believer and family friend, the daughters have since escaped the Somali port Village of Baraawe, where on March 4th they were forced to witness their mother's brutal execution. Everyday Somali Christians face repression, persecution, and the very real risk of losing their very lives for the expression of their faith. Join the global body of Christ today in answering these aid workers' call to lift up Sadia's daughters and to pray protection and provision for all Somlai Christians.

Pakistani Christian Appeals Death Sentence in Blasphemy Case
Lawyers for Sawan Masih, a Pakistani Christian man sentenced to death for blasphemy, have appealed his conviction. Masih's lawyers believe the blasphemy accusation made against Masih was a front for Muslim business men to evict Christians from a local neighborhood. Blasphemy laws in Pakistan continue to be abused against religious minorities, sometime to settle personal scores and other times for financial gain.

Nepal’s Christians Protest Government Discrimination
Christians and other religious minorities are protesting against the government which they claim favors Hinduism over all other religions in the secular nation. According to Christians in Nepal, the government openly funds Hindu festivals and other ceremonies, while it hinders the practice of Christianity. Please pray for these persecuted Christians.

Wisconsin is a heavily Democratic state and under GOP Gov. Scott Walker, unemployment is just 3.5%, Rush Limbaugh says
Limbaugh said Wisconsin is "one of the bluest" states, but under Walker its unemployment rate "is around 3.5%." Although Wisconsin has voted for the Democratic nominee in the last seven presidential contests, as a frequent battleground state, it is far from being an automatic in the Democratic column. At the state level, meanwhile, Wisconsin is currently Republican red but was recently Democratic blue, and by other measures it is somewhere between the two. As for unemployment under Walker, it has dropped to near 6 percent, but nowhere near 3.5 percent. We rate Limbaugh’s statement False.
