Stimulus Checks: Who Is Eligible and How Much Will They Be?
The law will send $1,200 checks to many, including Social Security recipients. According to the law, people who do not receive Social Security benefits and also do not typically file taxes because their income is very low will need to file a 2019 tax return in order to receive a stimulus check. That may be a challenge for some, however, because many services that help low-income taxpayers file tax returns for free have suspended in-person operations to deter the spread of the coronavirus. Most low-income taxpayers are eligible to file tax returns online for free through the IRS Free File program.

When priest and people are apart
The eucharist remains vital, even if offered behind closed doors, says Andrew Davison.
As a teenager, I belonged to a house church, where the oldest elder was a particular inspiration to me. The most solemn appeal that he would ever make in prayer was to “plead the blood of Jesus” That phrase will ring true for Christians of many backgrounds in time of danger, and it says something about why many look to the eucharist in moments of crisis. There, as one of our eucharistic prayers has it, “we remember all that Jesus did, in him we plead with confidence his sacrifice made once for all upon the cross”: we plead the blood of Jesus.

Condom shortage looms after coronavirus lockdown shuts world's top producer
A global shortage of condoms is looming, the world’s biggest producer said, after a coronavirus lockdown forced it to shut down production. Malaysia’s Karex Bhd (KARE.KL) makes one in every five condoms globally. It has not produced a single condom from its three Malaysian factories in the past 10 days due to a lockdown imposed by the government to halt the spread of the virus. That’s already a shortfall of 100 million condoms, normally marketed internationally by brands such as Durex, supplied to state healthcare systems such as Britain’s NHS or distributed by aid programs such as the UN Population Fund.
