‘A mirror for the life of our church’: The history and role of the primacy
When delegates meet in Vancouver this July for the 42nd General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada, they will vote for a new primate to succeed Archbishop Fred Hiltz. But what does being primate of the Anglican Church of Canada really entail? The primacy has evolved throughout the history of the church. In 1893, the church’s first primate was a diocesan bishop chosen from among the metropolitans, whose only specific duties were to serve as president of General Synod and of the House of Bishops.

A Muslim civil rights group is calling for a congressional investigation after the U.S. government acknowledged sharing its terrorist watchlist with more than 1,400 private entities such as hospitals and universities. MORE THAN MORBID
As we approach March, we come to the season of Lent. Whether or not you observe Lent, it is an important reminder of the heart of darkness, that wretched body of death. It is a reminder of the need for confession and repentance (as we’ve recently been reminded). More specifically, for confession and repentance of our own sin. As Lewis also noted: “Those who do not think about their own sins make up for it by thinking incessantly about the sins of others.”

Soros / Ocasio-Cortez: A Party Within A Party
Earlier this month newly minted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez presented her "Green New Deal." The far Left seized the opportunity hailing it as "progress"---"Progressivism at its finest." When asked about it Speaker Nancy Pelosi feigned not knowing exactly what it was, and referred to it as-- "or whatever they call it." A quick look at who is really behind AOC's "Deal" is sobering. It is a party within Nancy's Party.

An Agenda for American Immigration Reform
To address immigration and border security in a manner that keeps America free, safe, and prosperous, Congress must take a step-by-step approach to the full range of issues: Reject amnesty and open borders; secure our southern border; end “catch and release;” combat transnational criminal networks, fraud, humanitarian abuses, and human trafficking; restore the integrity of immigration enforcement; and sustain productive regional engagement. Our flawed immigration system cannot be fixed without adoption and implementation of these initiatives. Legal immigration reform should include transitioning to a merit-based system, ending practices like birthright citizenship, and promoting patriotic assimilation. Moreover, legal immigration, border security, and enforcement reforms should stand alone and advance on their own merits, not bundled into a comprehensive package.

Pollution in Pre-Industrial Europe
It is well known that industrialization helped to pollute the environment, but that does not mean that air and water were clean before factories and mills came along! Compared to today, our ancestors had to endure horrific environmental conditions.

CLERICAL MARRIAGE AND PASTORAL CHARACTER: OLD HIGH CHURCH V. TRACTARIANS
Article 32 - Of the Marriage of Priests - may appear to be a rather unusual place to detect a rupture between Tractarianism and the Old High Church tradition.  Most Tractarian parish clergy, after all, were married.  That said, Tract XC did suggest a rather strained interpretation of the Article, suggesting that the Church "has power did she choose, to take from [clergy] this discretion, and to oblige them ... to celibacy": the very thing, of course, that Article 32 denied.
