Margaret Irene Seaton graduated from Almira High School in 1930. In 1939, she married Henry Taschereau, originally from Spokane, who worked on the construction of the Dam until injured in a jack-hammer fall. They ran the Texaco service station in Elmer City, and then the Coulee Dam Service, before moving to Coulee City in 1953 to buy and run a grocery store.
One of her classmates, Martha Lucile Haskin, became the wife of Hu Blonk, who was a reporter for the Wenatchee World for many years, covering the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam, and writing many stories of the people and development of the area.
