John Joplin:  My great-grandparents, 1931. Jerome Bonaparte Webb and Hansena nee Jacobsen. I do not know why he was named Jerome Bonaparte. There was a Jerome Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon who immigrated to the US but I dont think had any children here. — In Spokane.

Tony Leslie:  Jerome Bonaparte and his wife and children I believe immigrated to New York after the fall of Westfell to the Alexander's Russian forces via secret passage on a British merchant vessel, the ship being a part of Jerome's father in laws merchant empire. However he died in like the 1870's it's more likely your great grand father is related to Jerome Bonaparte Jr. Who is Jerome Bonaparte's grandson how was born in Baltimore in 1893.

John Joplin:  I should have said he did not have any children whose progeny were related to Jerome Bonaparte Webb. I surmised this because I looked at the family tree of the Bonapartes in America. What is more likely, it seems to me, is that the name was in the news and thus sounded good to the parents of our J. B. Webb.
