Richard Charles Vance
SPOKANE -- Richard Charles Vance, 24, died Thrusday in the Brewster hospital following a long illness.
Born June 27, 1958, at omak, he attended grade school at Grand Coulee and Lake Roosevelt High School in Coulee Dam.
Mr. Vance attended Spokane Community College. He worked at Rawe and Rauch hardware at Grand Coulee and after college at the Five Mile Exxon Station in Spokane.
He was a member of the Mansfield United Protestant Church.
Survivors include his parents, Wesley and Patricia Vance of Mansfield; one sister, Vickie Vance of Everett; one brother, Paul D. of Reno, Nev.; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Vance of Mansfield.
Arrangements are by Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
RICHARD CHARLES VANCE -- Funeral services will be held Mon., Feb. 21, 2 p.m., from the Mansfield United Protestant Church with Rev. George Wall officiating. Interment and committal services will be in the Mansfield Cemetery. Arrangements by Barnes Chapel, Brewster.

Albert Fanth
Albnert "Aubie" Fanth, 73, of 1822 Elmwood Drive, Bettendorf, died Wednesday at St. Luke's Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Weerts/Hill & Fredericks Funeral Home, Davenport. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
Visitation is 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Davenport or the Heart Fund.
He was a general contractor in Davenport until 1960.
Mr. Fanth married Dorothy Bertossa in 1927 in Geneseo, Ill.
He was the first Scott County building inspector, serving from 1965 until 1976. He was a member of the Davenport Elks.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Betty) Biehl, with whom he resided, and Vickie Sones, Davenport; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

MOORE, James "Jim" Frederic
(Age 69)
Born May 11, 1939. Passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on January 24, 2009.
A beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, he will be deeply missed. He was the strength and backbone of our family which he held dearly.
Jim was born, raised and a lifetime resident of Spokane. He graduated from John Rogers High School and went on to college, pursuing a career in law enforcement. He served this community with pride and dignity for 26 years before his retirement from the Spokane Police Department.
An avid sportsman Jim loved the outdoors and shared his love of fishing, hunting, and camping with his family and friends. Always good natured and a bit of a prankster Jim was well liked and respected by all those he knew.
He is survived by his Mother Dorothy, Brother jerry (Janet), Sisters Mary Lou (Mike) and Sharon (Early), Daughters Cassandra (Mark), Dorothy and Elaine (Jim), Son Gregory (Nancy), Grandsons Tim, Aaron and Carl, Granddaughters, Crystal (Virgil, Reanna (Cory) and Kaelee, Great grandchildren, Tristen, Delilah, Sidney and Lailah, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday January 30, 2009, 2:00 pm at Millwood community Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Rd. Spokane, Wa. 99212.
