BBC's secret World War Two activities revealed
A new archive has revealed the BBC's role in secret activities during World War Two, including sending coded messages to European resistance groups. Documents and interviews, released by BBC History, include plans to replace Big Ben's chimes with a recorded version in the event of an air attack. This would ensure the Germans did not know their planes were over Westminster.

Moose wanders into Moses Lake Tuesday morning
A moose was spotted treading into foreign territory this morning east of Moses Lake. Fred Meise, a crop duster from Moses Lake, got a good look at the large mammal from the air at about 9 o’clock, Tuesday morning. Meise says the moose was headed east going towards a sweet cornfield off Road Q east of Moses Lake. iFIBER ONE News reached out to Fish and Wildlife Biologist Matt Monda who says moose that make their way into area is a rare occurrence only happening once or twice a year.

Democrat FEC Chair Eyes Curtailing Political Speech on the Internet
“The FEC [Federal Election Commission] has no business policing the truth or accuracy of speech of any kind by American citizens on the internet,” said Lee Goodman, a former chairman of the FEC, last week in response to the announced plan by Ellen Weintraub, who now chairs the FEC, to conduct a “symposium” this month with the goal of identifying “effective policy approaches and practical tools that can minimize the disruption and confusion sown by fraudulent news and propaganda in the 2020 campaign.”

The founder of a major venture capital firm in Silicon Valley and former executive at Time Warner and AOL believes surveillance is the main objective of voice-commanded “smart speakers” such as Amazon’s Alexa, Google’s Home, and others. “I would say that there’s two or three layers, sort of problematic layers, with these new smart speakers, smart earphones that are in market now,” said John Borthwick during an interview with Yahoo Finance Editor-in-Chief Andy Serwer. “And so the first is, from a consumer standpoint, user standpoint, is that these, these devices are being used for what's — it's hard to call it anything but surveillance,” Borthwick added.
