Truck attack angers Swedes, raises questions about policies
One brutal attack by a man who drove a stolen truck into shoppers in Stockholm has brought Sweden's open-door immigration policies under increased scrutiny — and raised the question if Swedish society, considered democratic and egalitarian, has failed to integrate its newcomers. The suspect in Friday's attack, a 39-year-old native of Uzbekistan who has been arrested by police, had been on authorities' radar previously but they dismissed him as a "marginal character."

Dr. Ben Carson discovered more than $500 billion in errors in his audit of the Obama administration's Housing and Urban Development budget. One of the first things Carson did after being confirmed as Secretary of HUD was to go through the Obama administration's budget with a surgeon's precision. It wasn't long until he found a big problem.

I Won't Let the State Choose My Friends or Enemies for Me
The reigning myth of rule has been that the rulers provide a quid pro quo: in exchange for the people’s submission and payment of tribute, the rulers protect the people from the "bad guys.” Not so. The ordinary people’s most dangerous enemy, the one by far the most likely to plunder and abuse them, was their own impudent lord, the selfsame “nobleman” who forbade them to leave their place of birth or to engage in a variety of tasks and pleasures they might prefer—that is, the man who held and exploited them in a condition of serfdom.

Israel, Europe, and the US Cannot Fix Syria
Governments have a very poor track record when it comes to redesigning the very societies they claim to represent. How will they ever be successful at shaping very different and extremely complicated societies they don’t completely understand? The atrocities in Syria, including chemical weapons attacks, are indeed a major humanitarian concern. But politicians who claim to know how to help Syrians, by launching large-scale military operations, with our soldier’s life at risk and our taxpayers’ money at stake, are seriously confused in their reasoning and dangerous for the region and all actors involved. Assuming that Western governments can sort out Syria or even figure out which side to support (with taxpayers’ money, of course) would merely be the pretense of knowledge.

The EU's Utter Contempt for European Freedom
Europe’s elite has been so busy building and enlarging the European institutions that they have ignored their primary task: to make Europeans better off. The British people concluded that they are more likely to prosper outside of the EU. Others may yet follow their example.

Sen. John McCain calls for President Trump's continued action in Mid-East
Trump ordered attack on Syrian airbase a "good beginning," says senator
Sen. John McCain appeared on CNN Saturday to talk about the U.S. strikes in Syria and the road ahead. “I think we should stay after ISIS — we can walk and chew gum — we should continue to take Mosul and ISIS and the long struggle we’re going to have with ‘radical Islam’ which is metastasizing as we speak but at the same time we should tell Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin that they’ve got to stop slaughtering their people,” the senior senator from Arizona said. “And that means grounding their airforce.” The senator said that he would like to put an end to the arming the Free Syrian Army and said that Syria needs to have a “safe zone” for refugees.

Syrian airbase hit by U.S. missile barrage already back in operation and conducting airstikes on civilians
The gears of war are turning and the neocons love it. Aircraft were reported to have carried out strikes on locals in the area but the Syrian government is not accepting responsibility for the attacks and is claiming that Islamic State forces control the airbase which may explain why warmonger and Senator John McCain secretly traveled to Syria in mid-February.

Going grey early increases heart attack risk
Going grey early means you are at an increased risk of suffering a heart attack, a new study shows. Scientists have discovered that hair whitening can indicate an increased risk of damage to arteries supplying the heart with blood. Some of the biological mechanisms driving coronary artery disease are also responsible for greying hair, they believe.
