GRAND COULEE DAM IS APPROVED BY THE U. S.
Construction of the Grand Coulee dam was approved today in Washington, D. C., by the national public works board, according to a telegram received by Frank Funkhouser from Senator C. C. Dill.
WASHINGTON'S SHARE IS THIRD HIGHEST IN U. S.
WASHINGTON, July 27--Secretary Wallace today announced what production allotments total 456,198,588 bushels in 42 states and 2233 counties as the basis on which benefit payments will be made to farmers under the voluntary domestic allotment plan put in force by the farm administrators.
