The Rest of Alaska’s Crime Story
A controversial TV ad from Sen. Mark Begich [D] accuses his opponent, former Alaska Attorney General Dan Sullivan [R], of letting “a lot of sex offenders get off with light sentences” — specifically one ex-con who prosecutors say killed an elderly couple and raped their infant granddaughter in 2013. We find that the Begich ad is misleading because it doesn’t tell the full story of Active’s “light” sentence; it ignores the responsibility that other state agencies had in this tragic case; and it leaves the false impression that Sullivan was personally involved in the plea agreement.

Islamophobia Breaks Out In ISIS Controlled Syrian Town
If you protest against Islam in ISIS controlled Syria or Iraq you get crucified or beheaded, in America if you point out the same problem you are called a Bigot, an Islamophobe or a Racist. Either way it is “illegal” or politically incorrect to protest against Islamic tyranny. When they start to kill or imprison the Islamophobes in the USA it might just be time for a revolution. Keep your powder ready and never surrender your second amendment rights.

No association found between wearing bra, breast cancer
A population-based case-control study found no association between bra wearing and increased breast cancer risk among postmenopausal women. "There have been some concerns that one of the reasons why breast cancer may be more common in developed countries compared with developing countries is differences in bra-wearing patterns," said one investigator. "Given how common bra wearing is, we thought this was an important question to address."

Banked blood grows stiffer with age, study finds
It may look like fresh blood and flow like fresh blood, but the longer blood is stored, the less it can carry oxygen into the tiny microcapillaries of the body, says a new study. Using advanced optical techniques, the researchers measured the stiffness of the membrane surrounding red blood cells over time. They found that, even though the cells retain their shape and hemoglobin content, the membranes get stiffer, which steadily decreases the cells' functionality.

Dietary recommendations may be tied to increased greenhouse gas emissions
