Vancouver schools pays $4K to install private shower for superintendent
Webb says it will help increase productivity time
(Shared by Lars Larson)  Best Loyal Lars Listener comment: This is ridiuculous!! I worked in the special education program with the Vancouver School District for 3 years, and I am now a special education teacher in Battle Ground. I worked for 3 years with chewed up food spread on my clothes as a result of teaching a student how to properly use a spoon and a fork to eat, endless snot and saliva on my hands, arms, and clothes from a student not knowing how to blow his nose or he naturally has extra saliva and drools constantly, not to mention the bruises, bites, kicks and hits that come constantly when working with students with behaviors. What other situations can I think of.... too many! I never was given an option to "shower" "clean up" or "change." I also was a student going going to night school 3 nights a week at Portland state! I never had time to clean up! I must say this is a bad image for the Vancouver School District, and disrespectful to all the employees who have worked so hard, sweat all day and attend several other meetings or events and have no time to drive home to clean up before the event.
