Rocky Devon photo: My caption is wrong. The original wood truss
bridge was built in 1907. It was replaced in 1952 with this girder bridge
that is currently in use for the Similkameen Trail. 375 feet long 86 feet
above theriver probably the best place on the river for viewing
salmon on a calm day.

The Rainbow Mountains In China's Danxia Landform Geological Park.
Layers of different colored sandstone and minerals were pressed together
and then buckled up by tectonic plates creating this beautiful effect.

Meteorologist Morgan Palmer of KIRO said this “flying saucer”
lenticular cloud atop Mt. Rainier was produced by 50-55 mph
moisture-laden wind striking the mountain and being forced to rise,
thus condensing into the cap cloud.  Often a sign of bad weather to come!

Who didn't have a set of these on the coffee table, or at least
have a relative that had them back in the 70's.
