Nowhere Safe to Go for Religious Minorities from Syria
While more than 2 million Syrians have fled the country to escape the daily violence, many of the religious minorities don’t feel that is an option for them. They are caught in the middle and face dangerous prospects if they leave and dangerous prospects if they stay.  A report from the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom highlights the particular dangers that religious minorities are suffering in this conflict:  “Christians and Alawites reportedly are not registering with their organization [UNHCR] because they fear negative repercussions from Sunni refugees identifying them with the regime. They reportedly also fear that if Bashar Al-Assad remains in power and they return to Syria, the Syrian government will view them as disloyal for having sought safe haven in a neighboring country.” Please pray for the safety and protection of our brothers and sisters in Syria. Please also pray that they will find a safe place of regufe in the midst of the violence.  Read More:  Syria’s Refugee Crisis and its Implications
