Empire Hotel, northeast corner of Riverside and Division, c. 1918.

Victoria Hotel, northeast corner of First Avenue and Wall Street (1903-1979)


Westminster Hotel (now Westminster Apartments), 2313 West Pacific Avenue, c. 1910.


Alexandria Hotel, 623 South Howard Street

Pedicord Hotel, 213 West Riverside Avenue, c. 1910.  Built by F. Lewis Clark in 1893.  Originally a three-story building, two additional stories were added om 1902.


Hotel Spokane, at the southwest corner of First Avenue and Stevens Street, c. 1907

Built in 1878 on the northeast corner of Howard Street and Front (later called Trent Avenue, now Spokane Falls Boulevard), the California House was damaged by fire in 1885.  It was remodeled as shown in this photo, and renamed the Windsor Hotel.  It was completely destroyed in the 1889 fire.  (Spokane Public Library Northwest Room photo)


The Sprague House was built in 1882 at the northwest corner of Railroad Avenue and Post Street by William Kaiser.  It burned down in 1884.  (EWSHS photo L89-267)


The N. P. Hotel was built in 1879 on the northeast corner of Main Avenue and Howard Street.  The hotel was named in anticipation of the arrival of the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1881.  The Arlington Hotel was later built on this site.  (Spokane Public Library photo)
