Carol Edgemon Hipperson:  I have zero memories of all that intrigue. All I remember is Claude Miller calling me on the phone in early 1967, asking me to try out for rodeo royalty. The only "try out" I remember is the night the rodeo association met in Classroom A at the high school, and all the candidates had to stand up and give a speech. A few days later, Claude called me again and said I was Queen.   November 1, 2011
