At UN Human Rights Council, 53 countries back China's draconian Hong Kong crackdown
Fifty-three countries at the U.N. Human Rights Council, led by Cuba, came out in support of China’s national security law this week -- a law that has formed the basis of the communist regime’s latest crackdown on the people of Hong Kong. Dueling statements were read out in the Council Tuesday in support and against the national security law. According to Axios, Cuba read out a statement in favor of the law backed by 52 other countries, while the U.K. read out a statement against it, representing itself and 26 other countries.... The spectacle will be seen by the U.S. as further proof that it was right to pull out of the Council in 2018. Then-U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley in 2018 called it “a protector of human rights abusers, and a cesspool of political bias."
The world is finally uniting against China’s bully tactics
Twenty Indian soldiers are murdered in a surprise cross-border attack by the People’s Liberation Army. A Philippine fishing boat is sunk in its own territorial waters by increasingly predatory Chinese ships. Peaceful pro-democracy demonstrators in Hong Kong are beaten bloody by riot police on Beijing’s orders. Australia’s farmers and miners are hit with trade sanctions after Canberra suggests that the virus, which came out of China, may have come from . . . China. Chinese President Xi Jinping has apparently decided that now is the time to assert dominance over an economically prostrate, post-pandemic world. But instead of just rolling over, a growing number of nations are fighting back. India, for one, is clearly not intimidated. In response to China’s unprovoked attack, the largest democracy in the world has moved 30,000 troops to the Himalayan border. Many Indians are now boycotting “Made in China” products, a task made easier because online retailers like Amazon have been ordered by New Delhi to tell buyers where products are made. ... Xi Jinping and the Communist Party that he leads have so badly overplayed their hand that they have, in a mere six months, accomplished what Donald Trump could not in almost four years: They have unified the world against China. And communist leader Xi has only himself to blame.

Joe Biden Calls Himself ‘Joe Biden’s Husband’ in Verbal Slip-Up
While the former Vice President’s followers appear to be confident that their man will oust President Trump from the Oval Office come November considering his lead in national polls, there is still a chance that Biden’s tangled tongue may cost him some popularity. The Democratic Party presidential hopeful, Joe Biden, has made another one of his now-famous verbal gaffes, referring to himself as “Joe Biden’s husband.” The 77-year-old former Vice President, if victorious in the November election, would be 78 by the time he sets foot in the Oval Office.
GUNTER: A leading voice apologizes for the 'climate scare'
I’m betting Michael Schellenberger is about to become the next unperson at the Global Warming Ministry of Truth. Schellenberger has been one of the world’s leading environmentalists for the past three decades. However, on Monday he wrote in Forbes, “On behalf of environmentalists everywhere, I would like to formally apologize for the climate scare we created over the last 30 years. Climate change is happening. It’s just not the end of the world. It’s not even our most serious environmental problem.”
