The Risks - Know Them - Avoid Them
All these infection events were indoors, with people closely-spaced, with lots of talking, singing, or yelling. The main sources for infection are home, workplace, public transport, social gatherings, and restaurants. This accounts for 90% of all transmission events. In contrast, outbreaks spread from shopping appear to be responsible for a small percentage of traced infections.

State liquor and cannabis board allows "to-go" cocktails
The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board is now allowing restaurants with liquor licenses to sell pre-mixed cocktails to patrons effective immediately. Facebook names 20 people to its 'Supreme Court' for content moderation
Facebook on Wednesday appointed 20 people from around the world to serve on what will effectively be the social media network’s “Supreme Court” for speech, issuing rulings on what kind of posts will be allowed and what should be taken down. The list includes nine law professors, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate from Yemen, journalists, free speech advocates and a writer from the libertarian Cato Institute. Absent, however, was any prominent expert in studying disinformation. Facebook has struggled to contain state-based manipulation efforts as well as hoaxes on subjects like false cures and gun violence.

Israeli Supreme Court Approves Netanyahu-Gantz Coalition Deal, New Govt to Be Sworn In 13 May
On Wednesday, the High Court of Justice has unanimously rejected the petitions against Benjamin Netanyahu forming the new government while being under indictment, as well as those against Netanyahu and Gantz making a coalition deal. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz have issued a statement on their agreement to swear in a new government on 13 May, which was approved by the Supreme Court. The High Court, consisting of 11 judges, unanimously ruled that there is "no reason to interfere with the Cabinet's imposition of Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud-Blue coalition agreement", according to state-run Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. A petition that sought to invalidate the coalition agreement was also rejected.

New COVID-19 Mutation Suggests Virus Likely Weakening Similarly to SARS - Study
Researchers at Arizona State University (ASU) recently discovered a new COVID-19 coronavirus mutation: a DNA deletion in a virus sample from a patient in Tempe, which is similar to a mutation that occurred in the 2003 severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) virus when it began to weaken. In the ASU study, researchers used a new technology at the university’s Genomics Facility known as next-generation sequencing to sift through the genome of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Case 'Goes Down the Toilet' as Supreme Court Debate Interrupted by Flushing Sounds
A Supreme Court oral argument was interrupted on Wednesday afternoon when the distinctive sound of a toilet flushing could be heard amid an ongoing debate. Due to social distancing measures, the public has for the first time been able to remotely listen in to oral arguments held by the Supreme Court. As key issues regarding the First Amendment are heard being discussed, an audibly flushing toilet is heard. The culprit behind the flush has so far been unnamed, but the mishap highlights problems faced by justices, lawyers, and the world as many adjust to working from home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
