Since US President Donald Trump’s first address to the United Nations General Assembly last year, the champion of an “America First” foreign policy has by most accounts taken control of a decision-making process once driven by members of the Washington establishment. On Tuesday, speaking again to world leaders at the UNGA, Trump lambasted the “so-called experts who have been proven wrong over the years, time and time again.”
The renegade president brings his war to the United Nations
When US President Donald Trump began his speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, he started out in true fashion by touting his own record, saying, “My administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country.” But the bravado backfired, drawing audible laughter from the audience. The crowd’s response highlighted UN members’ opposition to the US president and his attacks on the UN and many of its core missions and institutions. Last year, before his first speech to the UN, Trump withdrew the US from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This year, his administration pulled funding for the UN organization that offers health care and education to Palestinian refugees, boycotted a UN agreement on migration policy, and withdrew from the UN Human Rights Council. Earlier this week, former UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon criticized the US health-care system as morally wrong, and advocated for universal health care as a “human right.” Trump’s disdain for the International Criminal Court was also on full display at the UN. “The United States will provide no support and recognition for the International Criminal Court. As far as we are concerned the ICC has no legitimacy or authority,” Trump said. “We will never surrender America’s sovereignty to an unelected, unaccountable body.”

'FBI' Premiere Tackles (Wait for It...) White Supremacists
Viewers of Dick Wolf’s Law & Order spinoffs knew better than to expect anything original when it came to his new show on CBS, FBI. Sure enough, it didn’t take very long at all for the old tired liberal TV tropes to appear on the September 25 series pilot. We’re used to these liberal plots, but couldn’t Dick Wolf try to come up with something new, even just for the sake of variety?
Univision Disses Trump's 47% Popularity Among 50+ Hispanics in Florida
A new pre-midterm elections poll commissioned by Univision and AARP sounded the alarm about – HOW CAN THIS BE POSSIBLE? – the finding that 47% of Florida’s Latino voters in the 50+ age bracket support President Donald Trump. In his report on the poll, correspondent Luis Megid cautioned “you have to be careful” that while “the majority (of Latinos) are in disagreement with Trump, still there is a high percentage of older Latinos who back him, 47 percent in Florida”. Could it be that these Latinos actually see a correlation between President Trump’s policies and the “flourishing economy” - including record jobs numbers and record-low Hispanic employment - as even the wary correspondent indicates?
CEI Commends FCC Vote to Streamline 5G Buildout - America's Next Generation of Wireless Technology
Today, the Federal Communications Commission voted to streamline the buildout of 5G infrastructure, America’s next generation of wireless technology. The Competitive Enterprise Institute’s Jessica Melugin, associate director of CEI’s Center for Technology and Innovation, commended the FCC for this action.

Nikki Haley Slams John Kerry on ‘Fox & Friends’: ‘Disrespectful,’ ‘Hurtful’ to Country
Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, appeared on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday morning and addressed several topics surrounding President Donald Trump’s Tuesday visit to the U.N. General Assembly in New York City. One hot topic: the issue of former Secretary of State John Kerry’s alleged diplomatic interference in the Trump administration’s ongoing negotiations with Iran.
Trump Blasts ‘Con Artist’ Dems He Says ‘Laugh’ at Media on Kavanaugh Allegations
Journalists initially ignore president's opening remarks on foreign issues to focus exclusively on Supreme Court nominee's situation. In a rare full-blown news conference, President Donald Trump on Wednesday reiterated support for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and ripped Senate Democrats. On the eve of a high-stakes hearing set for Thursday in the Senate Judiciary Committee, Trump noted that Democrats have already made up their minds. That is one reason why calls for the FBI to reopen its background investigation of Kavanaugh in the wake of sexual assault allegations were pointless, he said. “It’s not going to change any of the Democrats’ minds. They’re obstructionists,” he said. “They’re actually con artists, because they know how quality this man is. And they’ve destroyed a man’s reputation, and they want to destroy it even more. And I think people are gonna see that in the midterms.” The allegations are a “big, fat con job,” Trump said. And Democrats know it, the president insisted.
Mark Judge’s Ex-Girlfriend Is Prepared to Speak to FBI and Judiciary Committee
Another woman enters the scene, reportedly ready to tell what she knows to authorities — and those who will decide Judge Brett Kavanaugh's fate. The onetime girlfriend of Mark Judge — the person who is alleged by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford of California to have been present while Brett Kavanaugh supposedly sexually assaulted her back in the 1980s when they were both in high school — is prepared to speak to both the FBI and the Senate Judiciary Committee about what she knows. Judge’s college girlfriend, Elizabeth Rasor, is represented by lawyer Roberta Kaplan, who sent a letter to the Judiciary Committee today,” writes Sargent in his Wednesday afternoon article. The letter, which was provided to me by a senior Senate Democratic aide on the committee, says that Rasor ‘would welcome the opportunity’ to speak to ‘agents of the FBI as part of a reopened background investigation’ into Kavanaugh’s conduct. After Ford alleged to The Post roughly a week ago that Kavanaugh and Judge had assaulted her decades ago, Rasor became a subject of interest after she spoke to The New Yorker, notes Sargent. In that New Yorker article — which focused on a second Kavanaugh accuser, Deborah Ramirez, who alleges Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at Yale in the 1980s — Rasor did not make any allegations against Kavanaugh.
Media Overwhelmingly ‘Rigged’ Against Kavanaugh, MRC Study Shows
ABC, CBS and NBC lavished extensive coverage on the allegations while spending little airtime on SCOTUS nominee's denials and questions. Mainstream media outlets’ coverage of the 11th-hour sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh (pictured above) has focused almost entirely on “regurgitating various unproved allegations,” while rarely noting his denials and “the lack of corroboration for his accusers’ accounts,” according to a Media Research Center (MRC) study made public Wednesday. “During the twelve days since Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein (Calif.) publicly announced the existence of an unspecified allegation against Brett Kavanaugh, the ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening news shows have spent nearly six hours (344 minutes) regurgitating various unproved allegations against the Supreme Court nominee,” wrote MRC Research Director Rich Noyes.
Third Kavanaugh Accuser Identified as Pile-On Continues
A third accuser of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh came forward Wednesday, sending a sworn affidavit to the Senate Judiciary Committee alleging improper behavior. Attorney Michael Avenatti, who represents porn star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against President Donald Trump, also released a photo of the woman — Julie Swetnick. Swetnick, who holds several government security clearances, joins two other women making allegations against Kavanaugh. Christine Blasey Ford, who is scheduled to testify Thursday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, claims a drunken Kavanaugh tried to rape her at a house party when they both were in high school. Deborah Ramirez, a Yale University classmate of Kavanaugh’s, has said he exposed himself in front of her at a dorm party.
