Twitter Targets Prominent Conservative Actor James Woods
Twitter has suspended another prominent conservative, this time it’s actor James Woods over a tweet from earlier this year. The tweet was posted July 20 and includes a hoax meme that said it came from Democrats and encouraged men not to vote in the midterm elections. Woods got an email from Twitter on Thursday saying the tweet “has the potential to be misleading in a way that could impact an election.” The email says Woods can use his account again if he deletes the tweet. Woods blasted the decision, saying he won’t remove the satirical tweet. The social media site recently created controversy when it removed firebrand Alex Jones and his InfoWars site from the platform.

The Smearing Of Brett Kavanaugh Is Truly Evil
Maybe Brett Kavanaugh is a gang-raping attempted murderer who managed to live a public life of acclaim and honor. Maybe the devotion to his wife and two daughters, his respect for countless women and their careers, and his wisdom on the bench are parts of an elaborate plot to get away with it. Anything is possible. But the idea that the country should convict him and destroy his life with no evidence other than recovered and uncorroborated memories and creepy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti’s say-so is quite insane.

Hama Rules Revisited
In 1982 the Muslim Brotherhood launched an uprising against the rule of Hafez al-Assad, the authoritarian ruler of Syria. The rebellion never stood a chance. After initial attacks on February 3 killed scores of Ba’athist leaders and rebels seized the city of Hama, the Syrian government reacted by sending 12,000 troops to besiege and retake the city. In three weeks of ruthless fighting, government forces used airpower and tank and artillery fire to demolish buildings and turn much of the city center into a vast pile of rubble. Rebels alleged that the government used chemical weapons in the attack, but since international observers were not allowed in the area, the accusation was never proven.

Chris Coons Says It’s Up to the Judge to Disprove the Allegations
Senator Chris Coons speaks for all Democrats when he promotes the idea of guilty until proven innocent if you’re a Republican. He is echoing Senator Hirono’s comments this week — she said the same thing. That is, Judge Kavanaugh has to disprove all the unsubstantiated and unprovable allegations leveled against him. Every single allegation is garbage and there’s no evidence — so far. If the Democrats have the opportunity, they will turn our justice system upside down and the first thing to go will be the rule of law. Due process won’t survive.

It is confirmed that here are no eyewitnesses, only gossips to support her case which she herself struggled to remember. We learned that the actual eyewitnesses standing up for Judge Kavanaugh are now themselves being accused of participating in the assault.

ABBOT OF KIEV CAVES LAVRA ADDED TO LIST OF ENEMIES OF UKRAINE ON GOV’T-BACKED WEBSITE
The infamous and scandalous website Mirotvorets (“Peacemaker”) has added His Eminence Metropolitan Paul of Vyshogorod and Chernobyl into its “Chistilische” (“limbo” or “purgatory”) database of enemies of and threats to Ukraine, reports the Union of Orthodox Journalists. The so-called “Peacemaker” website has been working overtime lately. In June, His Eminence Metropolitan Luke of Zaporozhye was also added to the site’s database, being accused of “manipulating socially significant information,” “inciting inter-confessional and inter-ethnic discord,” and also being dubbed an “enemy of the independence of Ukrainian Orthodoxy out from under the control of Russia (an aggressor country) by the Russian Orthodox Church.” His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia was added to the database in late May after he asserted that all those who help the Ukrainian schismatics are enemies of all Slavic peoples and all Orthodox Christians. Even Roger Waters, the legendary bassist for Pink Floyd, is considered a threat to Ukrainian national security. He was added by Mirotvorets last month for “propaganda against Ukraine, attempts to infringe on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and participation in attempts to legalize Russia’s annexation of Crimea.” They’ve even dubbed Eurovision singer Yulia Samoylova and actor Steven Seagal as threats to Ukrainian national security.

Then and Now: 1972 International House of Pancakes
Thing were changing quickly in the early 1970s in Spokane. Civic leaders were planning for Expo ’74, and businesses were changing the look of downtown Spokane. On the corner of Third Avenue and Lincoln Street, many changes were taking place. The New Earl Apartments, a three-story, 13-unit block at 224 S. Lincoln St., first appeared in the city’s phone listings in 1927. By 1971, it was getting a little run-down. Also on the block was the small office of Libby and Sons Photographers, founded in 1901 by Charles Libby Sr., a skilled and energetic photographer who chronicled Spokane from its early boom times, including the building of the Davenport Hotel and many other landmarks. Businessman Frank DeLis, who had built his first International House of Pancakes on East Sprague Avenue in 1971, built his second at Third and Lincoln in 1972. He ran the two IHOP locations for about 10 years. He also owned two Frankie Doodle’s diners. The downtown franchise, which had multiple owners, lasted 30 years. In 2002, the restaurant lost its lease and closed. Although no longer in ownership, DeLis helped Mike Crandell, one of his former employees, get access to the building to reopen it as Molly’s Family Dining.
