Companies buying back their own shares is the only thing keeping the stock market afloat right now
CNBC – Companies set a record for share buybacks in the second quarter, while investors set their own record for selling stock-based funds in June. Portland Riots: Right-Wing Marchers Beat Protestors with Flag Poles (VIDEO)
On Saturday, members of Patriot Prayer, a right-wing US group based in Portland, Oregon, assaulted anti-fascist protesters with wooden and PVC pipe flag poles in the city’s downtown until Portland police deemed the clash a riot and arrested four protesters. Over 100 of what many local residents consider to be neo-Nazi nationalists gathered at Terry Schrunk Plaza for a self-described "freedom rally" organized by Joey Gibson, a Senate candidate for Washington and leader of Patriot Prayer. In addition, more than 100 counter-protesters showed up across the street at Chapman Square to protest the right-wing group's march after the Eugene Antifa created a Facebook event called "Defend PDX: Patriot Prayer's violence must end." The violence broke out after right-wing marchers left the plaza and moved into downtown Portland, as counter demonstrators threw eggs, water bottles and firecrackers. Portland police quickly intervened, firing paintballs filled with pepper spray at participants of what the law enforcement officials now considered to be a ‘riot.'

The M1 Abrams Is Getting Brand New Israeli-Made ‘Shields’
The United States Army awarded Leonardo DRS a $193 million contract to equip the service’s M1A2 SEP v2 main battle tanks with an Israeli-developed active protection system (APS) called the Trophy earlier this month. The Army is adding the APS to the venerable M1 Abrams in a bid to increase the aging tanks’ survivability against increasingly capable incoming anti-tank missiles and rocket-propelled grenades.
