“Pascal’s Wager,” and can be summarized thusly: A rational person should live as though God exists. If God does not exist, you lose nothing except some worldly pleasures by believing in Him. But if God does exist, you gain eternal life by living a good life, but will suffer eternal damnation if you deny Him through a life of debauchery.

The FBI is admitting that Arizona and Illinois election servers have been hacked.  That means no vote can be taken for granted.  In these hacks, data of voters was taken.  On the same servers you have the vote count applications—tied into the voter registration data.  How easy would it be to ADD phony names to the data?  An 18 year old can do it.  How easy would it be to send absentee ballots to non-existent people?  Easy for a hacker from China.  Can it be detected?  Probably not.

10,126: Administration Hits Syria Refugee Target; 0.5% Are Christians

________

from Conciliar Post

Having been raised in a household where the adjective “biblical” served as a descriptor for every kind of doctrine, philosophy, or presupposition that was deemed fitting for a Christian, I assumed without question that the Bible is the primary source of Christian doctrine. Following my acceptance of the Catholic dogmas in February of last year, I was compelled to modify this belief to a more modest form: that Scripture is, along with Tradition, the source of doctrine. After reading the first seventy pages of Cardinal Newman’s Apologia Pro Vita Sua, I think that the latter belief, while closer to the truth, is still a crude understanding of the Scripture’s doctrinal place in the Christian life. In reality, the Bible’s purpose is at once richer and less broad; the canonical books are intended to validate, rather than establish, religious truth.

John Locke Is Needed Now More than Ever
The teachings of John Locke, born 384 years ago today, concerning individual rights, religious tolerance, and political individualism served as a cornerstone for the great American experiment in self-government, both in the sense of individual freedom and constitutional restraint. 3 Ways Obama’s New Overtime Rule Will Hurt Employees
In an alleged attempt to increase the income of certain salaried employees, the Obama administration issued a new overtime rule, set to take effect Dec. 1., that will almost certainly do more harm than good for the employees it seeks to help. The rules take away options for employees and will do nothing to raise their wages.

The Dumbing Down of College Curriculums
The dumbing down of elementary and secondary education has made its way to the collegiate level; too many unprepared students are admitted despite their inability to do college-level work. There once was a time when employers could be reasonably certain that college graduates had a basic sense of the world and, as a minimum, could write a coherent business letter. That is simply no longer the case, as some academic leaders appear ready to admit.

Feared by Enemies, Understood by Allies
For our friends, and deterrent to our enemies, the next President must close the clarity gap in our foreign policy. Even the best prepared military, however, cannot determine whether it will meet the world stage on favorable or antagonistic terms, with clear goals or muddled vision. This is the President’s responsibility.

I LOVE DONALD TRUMP
I love Donald Trump. I love him with my whole heart, mind, and soul. Ok, that’s a lie. The truth is that I find both Trump and Hillary Clinton difficult to love. All of the presidential elections in my lifetime have been laced with pitfalls for Christians. This one, however, seems even more fraught than usual.
