NYC; A City In Search Of an Anthem
Soon after Frank Sinatra died last month, the City Council Speaker, Peter F. Vallone, introduced a bill to make the singer's version of ''New York, New York'' the city's official song. Mayor Edward I. Koch did the same thing in a 1985 proclamation, but Council action would give this anthem the weight of law.
