Press Downplays Seattle Mayor's Party ID as New Evidence of Teen Abuse Surfaces
In May, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray ended his run for reelection in the wake of "mounting allegations that he sexually abused underage boys in the 1980s." On Sunday, the Seattle Times reported that records previously thought destroyed revealed that "An Oregon child-welfare investigator concluded" that" Murray "sexually abused his foster son in the early 1980s." The Times, as well as related wire reports from the Associated Press and Reuters, have only told readers that Murray is a Democrat in very late paragraphs.

Our Corrupt Media Is Now Haunted By All The Precedents They Set While Colluding With Obama
Barack Obama trafficked guns to Mexican drug lords, secretly delivered pallets filled with billions in cash to Iran's America/Jew-hating mullahs, left four Americans to die in Benghazi and then lied about it, allowed his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to exchange government favors for hundreds of millions of dollars slushed into the Clinton Foundation, sic'd his IRS on everyday, law-abiding Americans, and used a trillion dollars in "stimulus" funds to pay off his cronies, like those behind a boondoggle called Solyndra. And all along, over eight terrible years, our media did a whole lot more than just let Obama get away with it. They wholeheartedly colluded.

The State Is Not Your Mommy or Daddy
Real parents not only risk loss of custody of their child, but they may even face serious jail time. On the other hand, the abused “citizen-child” has no such means of escape when they are compulsorily made to conform to the dictates of those governmental “parents” holding the reins of legitimized political force. Instead, the abused citizen is more likely, himself, to end up in custody and face incarceration (or worse!), if they oppose or resist the fiscal and regulatory commands of the state. Whenever the government acts like a parent it becomes an abusive one.

"Our Roads Are Crumbling" and Other Infrastructure Myths
Here is the reality of America’s infrastructure: It is not crumbling, massive spending won’t create any permanent jobs, and productivity is not suffering because of our infrastructure. These are economic myths that lobbyists, contractors, and engineers perpetuate to get fat contracts. If you look at transportation issues over time, things have been getting better, not worse.

This State is Moving Another Step Closer to Bankruptcy
Illinois is a mess. Taxes and spending already are too high, and huge unfunded liabilities point to an even darker future. Looking at this grim situation, the state legislature decided it had to act. Unfortunately, the politicians in Springfield decided that action meant stepping on the accelerator while driving in the wrong direction. Democrats in the state legislature (joined by some big-government Republicans, just like in Kansas) just overrode Governor Rauner’s veto and imposed a huge tax hike on a state that already has one of the nation’s highest tax burdens.

How OPEC Became Irrelevant
The large traditional oil-producing countries — both OPEC and non-OPEC — are still catching up with the new reality. After deciding to extend the production cuts — agreed upon half a year ago — for another nine months, oil prices plunged below $50/barrel. Not quite the effect these oil giants were hoping for, but nothing out of the ordinary. After all, the fact is that supply and demand dynamics in the oil market have changed for good, something you can read in more detail in UFM Market Trends’ latest report on crude oil.

Net Neutrality Strengthens Monopolies, Invites Corruption
When it imposed its net neutrality rules on the telecom industry, the FCC was fixing a problem that didn't exist.  While proponents of Net Neutrality have long claimed that the regulations are necessary to impose fairness for internet usage, access to the internet has only become more widespread and service today is far faster for users — including “ordinary” people — than it was twenty years ago. Nevertheless, when the FCC in recent months — now under pressure from the Trump Administration — announced that it may step back from net neutrality, supporters immediately began claiming that net neutrality was necessary to keep internet access affordable and "fair." Supporters of net neutrality are claiming that the FCC will somehow necessarily work in the “public” interest and against the special interests who — experience tells us — tend to hold the most influence with regulatory agencies.

Why Wage Growth Is So Weak
The yearly growth rate of average hourly earnings in production and non-supervisory employment in the private sector eased to 2.3% in June from 2.4% in May. Many experts are puzzled by the subdued increase in workers earnings. After all, it is held the US economy has been in an expansionary phase for quite some time now. As central banks enable the creation of money out of thin air, wealth creation has suffered, as has worker productivity.

MONUMENT TO ROYAL MARTYRS TSAR NICHOLAS AND TSAREVICH ALEXEY CONSECRATED IN NOVOSIBIRSK
On Sunday, the day before the 99th anniversary of the brutal murder of the holy Royal Martyrs which the Church celebrates today July 17, a monument to Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarevich Alexey was consecrated on the territory of the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Novosibirsk, according to the site of the Novosibirsk Diocese.

ILLUMINATED AND RADIANT: THE ROYAL MARTYRS
On July 4/17, we honor the memory of the Royal Passion-bearers, murdered in 1918: Tsar Nicholas Alexandrovich II, his wife Alexandra Feodorovna, and their children—Tsarevich Alexei and the Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, and Anastasia. Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov speaks about the example given to us by the lives and deaths of the holy Royal Martyrs.

Heaven is calling
Russia’s North… There is a great history behind these words. As you travel through the vast expanse of Russian North, you see a great many ancient Orthodox churches that were destroyed under the atheistic Soviet regime. These holy temples were used as clubs, libraries, storehouses, and then left derelict… And how many of them were burned down or dismantled!

The Colville Business Council voted through resolution to change the name of the Tribe to “The 12 Confederated Tribes of the Big Water Nation” with translation in the three language dialects, July 6. The resolution further states the action initiates a constitutional amendment process to effect the change.
