STUDY: MOST CONVICTS VOTE DEMOCRAT
A scholarly study newly released in The Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science found that felons registered Democratic over Republican by a six-to-one margin in some states, including New York, where 61.5% are Democrats and only 9% GOP. Boko Haram Releases Kidnapped French Priest on Compassionate Grounds
French priest Georges Vandenbeusch was kidnaped from his parish in northern Cameroon on November 13 by militants connected to the Nigerian Islamic terrorist network Boko Haram. Earlier this week, Vandenbeusch was released by Boko Haram to the government of Cameroon unharmed and in good spirits. Members of Boko Haram's leadership have indicated that Vandenbeusch was released on compassionate grounds because he had assisted many sick and injured Boko Haram militants with his medical training. Praise the Lord for his release.

China: Christian Lawyers Trapped in House, Attacked by Gov’t Thugs
The case of the Nanle County Christian Church in Henan Province continues to draw headlines as Christian lawyers attempt to litigate the case of nearly two dozen church members arrested in November. Yesterday ChinaAid reported that several of the attorneys were trapped by government hired thugs in the home of Pastor Zhang Shaojie. Pastor Shaojie remains in detention and several of his family members have gone into hiding. When the attorney's attempted to leave the home they were physically blocked and even attacked by the thugs. Currently it is unclear how many remain trapped in Pastor Shaojie's home.

Christians in Vietnam Attacked While Delivering Gifts
Christians in central Vietnam were attacked by authorities in mid-December as they attempted to take a delivery of Christmas gifts to orphans in Kontum Province. Vietnam remains highly repressive of religious groups, especially ethnic minorities in areas such as the Central Highlands and Northwest Mountainous Region. Christians in these areas regularly face harassment, arrest, and physical violence for practicing what is still considered an American or Western faith.
