N. Astor murder suspect caught in Pasco, witnesses not cooperating
Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives have identified a suspect in the homicide Friday on N.Astor street. Police allegedly found 26-year-old Brandon Mellon at a motel in Pasco, but the suspect shot himself in the leg before he could be taken into custody according to The Spokane Police Department. Police said Mellon is being treated under supervision in Portland, OR.


Suspect in custody for fatal Deer Park shooting
The victim in the Deer Park shooting Saturday died Sunday morning at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
Family members identified the victim as 53-year-old Harry Edward Giesbrecht. Authorities said they located Richard Klepacki, 61, hiding behind bushes at a near by middle school after the shooting. Klepacki was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
