By now, thousands of people have read Anne Helen Petersen’s widely-shared BuzzFeed News article, “How Millennials Became the Burnout Generation.” It’s a well-written article, and one that raises some valid concerns about the future of an enormous demographic. But I can’t help wondering if the phenomenon Petersen is driving at reflects a deeper generational crisis than simply financial instability.

NBC: "Trump-Beto, Dueling Rallies" in El Paso Tonight
NBC may be wishful thinking, but the President is holding a rally tonight "Out in the West Texas town of El Paso." So is wanna-be president, one of a growing Democratic crowd, Beto O'Rourke, former Texas US Representative. The rallies will happen at the same time in the same town. Neither the President or the wanna-be will probably visit "Rosa's Cantina," but both are looking for love in El Paso. MSNBC is calling it a "face off" and "a duel near the border."

Trade Deals with Africa Would Help the Continent Grow
If Sub-Saharan Africa’s economy grows at 5% a year and its population grows at 2%, incomes per person will rise at a rate of roughly 3%. That means that the areas GDP per capita could rise from $1,652 to somewhere in the neighborhood of $7,500 by 2070. Free trade can help Africa’s economy grow. So, let’s have more of it.
