Theresa May accuses Vladimir Putin of election meddling
Theresa May has launched her strongest attack on Russia yet, accusing Moscow of meddling in elections and carrying out cyber espionage. Addressing leading business figures at a banquet in London, the prime minister said Vladimir Putin's government was trying to "undermine free societies". Russia could be a valuable partner of the West but only if it "plays by the rules", she argued. "Russia has repeatedly violated the national airspace of several European countries and mounted a sustained campaign of cyber espionage and disruption. This has included meddling in elections and hacking the Danish Ministry of Defence and the Bundestag among many others."

Venezuela just defaulted, moving deeper into crisis
Venezuela, a nation spiraling into a humanitarian crisis, has missed a debt payment. It could soon face grim consequences. The South American country defaulted on its debt, according to a statement issued Monday night by S&P Global Ratings. The agency said the 30-day grace period had expired for a payment that was due in October. A debt default risks setting off a dangerous series of events that could exacerbate Venezuela's food and medical shortages.

Nets Attack Sessions' Credibility For Investigating Clinton Foundation, E-mails
It seems the media can always find a new excuse as to why the Clintons’ numerous scandals over the years should be overlooked. Tuesday morning, the networks dismissively treated reports that Attorney General Jeff Sessions would be looking into hiring a special prosecutor to investigate the Clinton Foundation’s dealings with Uranium One and Hillary Clinton’s e-mails, casting blame on Sessions instead. All three networks also characterized the potential investigation as a partisan hack job orchestrated by President Trump against his former election “rival,” instead of against the former Secretary of State. The liberal media are circling the wagons now that AG Sessions is looking into the Clintons!

Does the Paris Agreement Imperil Global Trade?
President Trump faced heat from world leaders over the past couple days for his decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement. However, staying in probably would have meant implementing harsh trade restrictions, raising prices on energy and household goods. The Agreement has no trade provisions. However, absent an enforcement mechanism such as trade sanctions, the treaty is unlikely to achieve its emission-reduction objectives. Tellingly, some foreign officials and climate activists already demand the imposition of carbon tariffs on U.S. firms if President Trump withdraws from the Agreement.
