Bishops told to stop acting as CEOs 'chasing growth targets' and instead help depressed clergy
The Church's increasingly 'organisational and bureaucratic' approach leaves clergy feeling 'guilty' if they don't meet growth targets, a priests' support group was told, as the CofE desperately tries to halt decades of decline.

WikiLeaks was tarnished by allegations that it was working with the Trump campaign/Russia, so it is seeking to reclaim its credentials, especially among those who share their views on ‘the surveillance state.’ This is the gift that keeps giving for them so why not space out the releases? One wonders if Shadow Brokers and WikiLeaks are sharing the same source, but again, the evidence is not determinative. Do I think Russia is behind it? I’m not privy to the evidence, but I cannot come up with an alternative answer – while some have suggested a potential insider within NSA – the releases seem to emanate and be sourced from different NSA organizations.

Double Standard: 80 Minutes for GOP Scandal, Barely 2 for Democrat’s Trial
For the past four days, the establishment media have provided intensive coverage of the scandal involving Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore, with reporters repeating the damning accusations against the candidate and the “mounting pressure” for Moore to quit the race. The media’s reaction to Moore makes their double standard on scandals all the more glaring: Since early September, a sitting United States Senator has been on trial for corruption involving the abuse of his office, and the media have essentially buried the story.

How Tax Reform Would Simplify Taxes for Tens of Millions
Lawmakers have long championed a system that allows Americans to fill out their tax returns on a postcard. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act proposed by Republicans in Congress could help turn that vision into a reality for most Americans. The U.S. tax code imposes a huge burden on Americans, and not just in terms of the taxes they pay. The current system is so tortuous and complex that most Americans pay an accountant or buy tax software to help them file their taxes each year.

Boise’s Assay Office played an important role for the whole nation
The United States Assay Office at 210 Main St. in Boise (1870-71) is one of only three National Landmark buildings in Idaho. To be considered a National Landmark, a building must be important in the history of the nation, not just in state or local history. Idaho’s other National Landmark buildings are The Mission of the Sacred Heart to the Coeur d’Alene Indians near Cataldo (1850-53) and Experimental Breeder Reactor No. 1 near Arco (1951).
