Nepal Urged to Respect Christians’ Rights in New Constitution Earlier this month, the chairman of Nepal's National Human Rights Commission recommended that Nepal protect the freedom of conscious and religion when it drafts its new constitution. Nepal, which was a Hindu monarchy until 2008, has been in the process of drafting a constitution for the past 6 years. Many are calling on the government to enshrine the freedom of religion in the new constitution in order to protect religious minorities, like Christians, in Nepal. Other, more radical groups, are calling for Nepal to return to being a Hindu nation and are calling for conversions between religions to be outlawed. What does the future hold for Nepal? 11-21

Asia Bibi’s Husband Pleads with Pakistan’s President for Wife’s Release
Ashiq Masih, the husband of blasphemy victim Asia Bibi, wrote an open letter to the president of Pakistan pleading for his wife's release. In October, Asia Bibi's blasphemy conviction and death sentence were confirmed by the Lahore High Court, leaving an appeal to Pakistan's Supreme Court that final option to getting Asia released. Will this open letter to Pakistan's president be a step in the right direction? Only time will tell. 11-21
