Mystery at the new Bible museum: Are its Dead Sea Scrolls fake?
Small scraps of parchment inscribed with tiny Hebrew letters. They look like countries cut out of a map, or lost pieces from a jigsaw puzzle nobody could solve. Some scholars say they're fragments from the renowned Dead Sea Scrolls, Jewish texts that date to the days of Jesus. Others suspect they are expensive forgeries meant to dupe American evangelicals, including the family behind the splashy new Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC.

You Have a Right to Your Data at the Border
The likelihood of your electronics and data being searched at the border is increasing all the time for no other reason than, "Because we can." Getting past U.S. Customs used to be an annoyance, an aggravating delay. But unless you were attempting to bring into the country something untoward (say, a delightfully stinky French cheese), you were not overly concerned about confronting a customs agent. That was before rummaging through your electronic life became a thing for agents at the border. Nowadays, citizens and noncitizens alike have the pleasure of possibly having their personal devices searched and even retained for weeks on end by Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. That means your emails, texts, banking information, photos—anything and everything you access on your electronic device—is fair game for agents as you make your entry into the country.

U.N. Admits Paris Accord Doesn’t Do What It Claims
According to the latest annual U.N. report on the “emissions gap,” the Paris agreement will provide only a third of the cuts in greenhouse gas that environmentalists claim is needed to prevent catastrophic warming. The agreement does almost nothing if every nation involved does what they said they will do, beginning immediately and continuing non-stop until 2030. If all that is accomplished the temperatures will rise by more than 3 degrees Centigrade in the next 100 years.

California Rejects History Books That Don’t Sexualize Prominent Figures
The California board of education has approved ten textbooks that it has deemed “inclusive enough,” and rejected two others that were not, including Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, one of the top textbooks producers in the United States. They don’t give the sexual identity of historical figures in books meant for children as young as five.

California’s Downward Spiral as a One-Party State Gives Us a Glimpse Into America’s Future
California Governor Jerry Brown has famously called taxpayers “freeloaders” as he welcomes poor, uneducated foreigners to come to California illegally to live off welfare. Senate Pro Tem Kevin De Leon said half his family is in the country illegally and he believes it is their right to be here. LA Mayor Eric Garcetti is destroying the economy for the sake of illegal immigration. All are misappropriating funds. All have established Socialist policies.

King Henry VIII ordered for Meghan Markle's ancestor to be beheaded
She has, by all accounts, had nothing but a warm welcome from the Royal Family so far. The forebears of Meghan Markle, the girlfriend of Prince Harry, were not quite so fortunate, it has emerged. A study into the American actress’ family tree has discovered her ancestor was in fact beheaded on the orders of Henry VIII, his wealth and land confiscated after a spectacular fall from favour. Lord Hussey, 1st Baron Hussey of Sleaford, was the great-great-great-grandfather of Captain Christopher Hussey, who left England in the 1650s to become a Founding Father of Nantucket.
