‘HANDS OFF POLAND’ – POLES BLAST ‘ARROGANT’ EU BULLIES
Poland demands respect from EU imperialists. Poland’s Minister of Justice delivered a scathing response to European Union bureaucrats who are attempting to bully the staunchly anti-migrant country as the battle over ‘refugee resettlement’ quotas rages on. Zbiegniew Ziobro directed his comments at Frans Timmermans, Vice President of the European Commission, who has established himself as one of the EU’s most aggressive attack dogs against a growing list of member states who oppose the migrant schemes.

Hackers find voting machines as secure as a car with the key in the ignition
Hackers have a reputation for being super-smart, dedicated technoids who will stop at nothing to break through even the strongest cyberdefense to make off with vital information or throw a virtual wrench into the works. But the truth is, it often doesn't take much effort at all. Case in point: the DefCon hacking conference in Las Vegas. Over the weekend, hackers set out to find and exploit vulnerabilities in five different kinds of voting machines. Among the initial findings: one of the machines still had 60,000 voter registration records from Shelby County, Tennessee. The machine had been sold on eBay by Shelby County officials at some point, apparently with no one thinking it might be a good idea to scrub it first.

ODED AND AHAZ
For a brief moment in Chronicles, Israel is what Israel should be, one nation, a brotherhood of generosity, ears open to the voice of Yahweh through His prophet. The echoes of this passage in the judgment scene in Matthew 25 aren't accidental.

THE JEW’S LAMENT
The Jews’ saddest day is the Ninth of Av, which this year is Tuesday. The Ninth of Av commemorates the destruction of the Temples in Jerusalem, catastrophes still endured by Jews today. Temple life sanctified the fruits of the world, proving with every libation Jewish love for Creation.

A TEST FOR CLASSICAL CHRISTIAN STUDENTS
When college-admissions testing is forced to remain value-neutral, university administrators are the ones who suffer. Unlike the SAT and ACT, the Classic Learning Test rewards familiarity with the great works of Western civilization.

The EPA Still Hasn’t Been Held Accountable for the Gold King Mine Blowout
At Colorado’s Gold King Mine, the EPA blew out millions of gallons of acid-mine drainage. Yet two years later, no one at the EPA has been held accountable. EPA reports assert the idea that the torrent of pollutants was really no big deal, though this is not the case. The bureaucrats responsible for this disaster, and those who covered up the EPA’s role, should be fired and otherwise penalized like a private company would be.

In Afghan Terror Fight, US Must Play Long Game
From the outside looking in, one might think that Team Trump’s Afghanistan policy is stuck in “neutral” but it's far better to get it right than to get it fast. While the war on terror is going well for the moment due to the demise of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, this isn’t the end of the violent Islamist extremist movement. As the U.S. has learned from fighting ISIS and always mindful of 9/11, we need to take these terrorists out over there if we’re going to have security here.

To Restore First Amendment on Campus, Open Universities to Competition
The culture on college campuses today is extraordinarily hostile toward views outside of the leftist status quo. We clearly need significant reforms to get our colleges back on track, yet little is done. Universities do not face market pressures to improve quality. Reducing federal intervention could spark the growth of education options to challenge the status quo.

New Evidence Confirms The Burning Of Jerusalem By Babylonians Described In The Bible
Archaeologists excavating the City of David in Jerusalem have discovered evidence that a passage of the Bible is historically accurate. Researchers at the site in the Jerusalem Walls National Park found many burnt artifacts dating from 2,600 years ago, confirming a reference in the Bible that describes the burning of Jerusalem by the Babylonians. Jerusalem is thought to have fallen around 587 BCE.

________

There is a rule on Athos: To live in solitude, a monk must be spiritually mature, he must have experience of spiritual warfare, and one other condition: He must be of a correct spiritual dispensation, otherwise there is great risk of falling into prelest or becoming bodily ill. First a monk must “be polished,” so to speak, for ten to fifteen years in a monastery, or with an elder in obedience, to learn the technique of warfare which the devil will carry out with us, and to learn mental prayer and ascesis of praxis, and then he can go to the desert. This is the general order on Athos, in the spirit of the Orthodox monastic tradition. The desert is not for all. The desert is for the spiritually advanced, for strong and experienced monks.

How much longer we can sustain the fiction that we live in a constitutional republic, I cannot say, but anarchy is being loosed upon the nation. We are witnessing the unraveling of the American dream one injustice at a time.

US 'Should Take a Look in the Mirror' Before Blaming Russia for Ukrainian Crisis
During his visit to Estonia over the weekend, US Vice President Mike Pence spoke about Russia's "unacceptable behavior" and "destabilizing activities" in Ukraine. Asked to comment on the remarks, Ukrainian-Russian politician Vadim Kolesnichenko told Sputnik that Pence's appeal was not only extremely arrogant, but also completely illogical. Speaking to Radio Sputnik, Ukrainian and Russian politician Vadim Kolesnichenko suggested that it was time for Washington to drop its condescending approach to relations with Moscow, particularly the language used by officials. "The US still hasn't realized that the world is no longer unipolar, and that Russia is not a small boy in a sandbox which some big grownup can pick up and punish," the politician said. "Russia is a self-sufficient state, and a full-fledged power in the international arena, and will continue to insist that everyone play by the same rules in the implementation of international law," he added.

Drudge nails it: John McCain is face of ‘corruption’
Matt Drudge of Drudge Report fame didn’t take kindly to Sen. John McCain’s recent thumbs-down vote on Obamacare repeal. In a tweet that quickly amassed 5,500 or so likes, and near 2,800 retweets, Drudge simply wrote: “Corruption has so many faces …” The message was atop a photo of a McCain campaign photo that included the senator’s face and this text: “John McCain: Leading the fight to stop Obamacare.”
