Remembering Christianity’s Steadfastness in India’s 2008 Anti-Christian Riots
The 2008 anti-Christian riots that swept across India's northeastern state of Orissa was the most brutal and violent attack Christians have faced in India's history. Although the attack was devastating, many Christians showed the steadfastness of their faith in the face radical mob violence. This testament to the Christian faith has actually led many members of the Hindu community in Orissa to convert to the Christian faith. Christians continue to suffer in Orissa, but the strength of their faith is a shining example to the world.

Satanists and Hindus Demand Monuments at Oklahoma Capitol
In response to a court ruling allowing a monument of the Ten Commandments to remain on the grounds of the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City, Satanist and Hindu groups have submitted applications to place memorials on the grounds as well. The applications are likely geared towards having the Ten Commandments removed, rather than in the interest of actually placing Hindu or Satanist memorials on the grounds.  Battles over religious symbols placed on public property are being waged across the United States as increasing pressure from various groups to marginalize Christianity in the public sphere are underway.

Persecuted Congregation in China Attacked in Forest, Harassed by Authorities
In an almost unbelievable series of events, the Nanle Country Christian Church in Henan Province was recently attacked by Chinese authorities who several weeks earlier arrested the church pastor and 23 members. After being barred from worshiping in their building on Dec. 1, the congregation moved to a location in a nearby forest to hold their service at a site pre-approved by the local government. Only a few minutes after the group of about 200 Christians began singing hymns authorities arrived and began to "physically and verbally" abuse the congregation, reportedly slapping one elderly woman in the face so hard she began to bleed. The congregation then retreated to a roadside, where they were instructed to return to their church building. Upon arrival the government had placed two former church members who were considered radical and had been kicked out of the church years before to "lead" the service. This article also lists several of those members who still remain in detention.
