Republicans in the Wake of Christie and Cuccinelli
It's time to ponder some of the "insight" from the punditry now that we've had a good week  -- a lifetime in political years -- to mull over the Cuccinelli-McAuliffe gubernatorial race in Virginia. According to the political cognoscenti on both the left and right, the takeaway is that the GOP must run moderates in order to win purple states.  It's no surprise coming from liberals, but some of the most vociferous proponents of this notion are Republicans.

By 2036, it is estimated there will be no living veterans of World War II left to recount their experiences.

It's what a president does when no one is looking that counts.
Thank you President George W. Bush for always taking the time to honor and respect our veterans.... especially when no one was looking. No matter what anyone might think of this president, it can never be argued that the men and women in our military loved and respected him as their commander in chief. The mutual respect and love that George W. had for our military was never in question. George W. and Laura Bush can still be found making frequent visits to wounded warriors and taking part in fundraisers to benefit those who sacrificed so much for our nation.
