On Fox, Greg Gutfeld Calls Out Media on School Shooting Stat
Earlier this week Newsbusters reported that the media hyped a statistic about school shootings that originated from Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun group “Everytown for Gun Safety.’ There have been, according to the widely reported stat, 74 school shootings since Sandy Hook. The media dutifully repeated the number until it was debunked. CNN later retracted and amended their reporting of the questionable count to a much lower number, 15.

Pryor’s Prior Partisan Votes
Tom Cotton accuses Sen. Mark Pryor of “toeing the line” for President Obama and the Democratic Party, claiming Pryor voted with them 90 percent of the time. But the party unity figure is wrong (it’s actually 80 percent), and the presidential support figure, although accurate, shows Pryor voted against Obama more than any other Senate Democrat.

Bill Gates Just Blew Our Minds In A Single Tweet
Between 1901 and 2000, the U.S. built an entire interstate highway system, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hoover Dam and just about all of its skyscrapers -- to name just a few concrete-intensive things. China did all that, and almost half again, in just three years. On his blog, Gates suggested that all of this concrete had helped pull Chinese out of poverty. But all of this building has also left China with a huge and dangerous property bubble, massive ghost cities and empty housing.

Malaysia: The Seizure Of Bibles By Islamic Authority Was Determined “Wrong”
Malaysian Christian leader: With return of our Bibles it's time for forgiveness
ICC Note: Several anti-Christian incidences occurred in Malaysia in early January, including the seizure of hundreds of Bibles from the Bible Society of Malaysia (BSM) and the arrest of staff members by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais). Yesterday, the Attorney General determined that the Jais was "wrong" to carry out the raid and seize over 300 copies of the Bible. The incidences were caused by the rising tensions over use of the word ‘Allah’ in the country after the controversial judgment of an appeal court last October, banning the Malaysian Catholic Weekly Herald to use the word "Allah".

We must offer sanctuary to Iraq’s remaining Christians
As thousands of Christians continue to flee from Iraq and Syria, many are wondering if this is the final straw in weeding out the Christian population in those two countries. Catholic Herald discusses the necessary action to help prevent the collapse of the church there. Iraq and Syria stand as an influential region to Christianity in the Middle East and hold a long history of the Christian faith.

ISIS May Expel Iraq’s Christians for Good
As ISIS, a radical Islamic group in Iraq, continues to drive out residents in Mosul, the United States is looking for solutions to stop them before they reach Baghdad. Mosul, a predominantly Christian neighborhood, saw the loss of nearly a thousand Christian families earlier this week. With the newly elected prime minister in Iraq struggling to gain control of the hostile country, Obama still has yet to make a decision on actions.

India Will Spare “No Effort” To Recover Abducted Priest in Afghanistan
ICC Note: India's new Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has stated that his government will spare "no effort" to ensure the safe release of an Indian priest abducted in Afghanistan last week. On June 2, the priest was abducted by unknown gunmen in Afghanistan's Herat province. Since the abduction, no group has taken responsibility or asked for a ransom. Many are concerned that Afghanistan's Taliban have taken the priest and local authorities have arrested three Taliban members in connection with the abduction. Please pray that the priest is safely released.

ICC Joins More than 100 Others in Protest #ForMeriam Outside White House Gate
ICC Note: International Christian Concern (ICC) joined 39 other human rights and faith-based organizations in a demonstration in front of the White House to call on President Obama and Secretary Kerry to mention Meriam by name in a public address, pressure Sudan for her immediate release and provide her and her asylum. Later that day, Secretary Kerry issued remarks condemning Sudan's actions, calling for Meriam's release and stressing the importance of the respect of human rights and religious freedom.

This is what happens when the US opens her borders... ISIS leader threatens: 'Soon we will be in direct confrontation' with U.S.
Friday, CNS News reported that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as ISIS, warned in an audio message delivered in January that the jihadist movement now taking over large areas of Iraq would soon confront the United States.

OBAMA PLAYS GOLF WHILE BAGHDAD FALLS AND 200 AMERICAN CONTRACTORS ARE SURROUNDED BY JIHADISTS

REPORT: Man Responsible For Anti-Muhammad Video, A.K.A.Nakoula Basseley Nakoula Was A U.S. Federal Informant At Same Time Hillary Was Lying About "The Video"
Evidence reveals that when Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, she conspired with President Barack Obama to snuff out criticism of Islam with a contrived and diabolical assault on the first amendment. Curiously unprompted, Obama and Hillary so vehemently insisted they had “nothing to do with” the anti-Muhammad video, but as it turns out, the opposite is true, they did play a role, counter to their claims.

Shocking Video Shows Chinese Christians’ Attempts to Halt Destruction of Church Cross
International Christian Concern (ICC) obtained a video of Christians in Wenzhou City, China, attempting to stop the forcible demolition of a church cross. At 5:00 am, June 11, 2014 in Wenzhou, China, hundreds of government personnel equipped with a crane and other construction machines, without any legal documents or specific warning in advance, forcibly broke into BaiXiang GuanTou Church attempting to remove the cross from the roof of the Church in Wenzhou City. Church members responded by mounting a standoff for three and a half hours. This video shows the police barricade blocking people from entering the church for a morning worship at 8:00 am. More and more people came and wanted to go in to protect the cross.

Chinese Pastor Zhang Shaojie Still Wrongfully Imprisoned After 7 Months  (Latest update on Nanle Case: Three Christians are Released)
ICC Note: We translated the Chinese article into English. Pastor Zhang Shaojie and more than 20 of his congregation were arrested back in November, 2013, in Henan Province, China. After seven months of imprisonment, Pastor Zhang Shaojie is still waiting for the judgment from the long-awaited trial dating back to late April, 2014. On June 11, three Christians were released, while five other church members are still detained or kept in black jails. ICC will continue to follow the case of wrongfully imprisonment of Pastor Zhang Shaojie.

Kyrgyzstan Shows Little Evidence of Action to Address Burial Problem  "I don't see political will on higher level" to resolve burial problems
Last week, ICC shared the stories of several Christian families in Kyrgyzstan who, because of their Christian faith in a predominantly Muslim region, were barred from burying their loved ones in ancestral, state-owned cemeteries. Facing demands to convert to Islam from local imams, or receiving hard-line refusals for them to access the cemeteries, these Christians appealed to local authorities with little success. Kyrgyzstan recently drafted a document to address the burial issues, but few see the move as substantial progress towards resolving these problems.

Christians Among Half a Million Fleeing After Islamic Extremists Capture Mosul
ICC Note: The capture of Iraq’s second largest city, Mosul, has sparked greater concern about the fate of Iraq’s dwindling Christian population. The Nineveh plains surrounding Mosul is the homeland of many of the Christians still in Iraq. With the region now coming under the control of ISIS, there is fear that they may finally drive Christians entirely out of the city.

President Obama’s Spiritual Advisor Raises Pastor Saeed Abedini’s Case in Iran
ICC Note: While in Iran to attend a conference of religious leaders, Pastor Joel Hunter, known as President Obama’s spiritual advisor raised the plight of Saeed Abedini. He stated that he was able to directly ask the Iranian government for clemency, an option that Iran’s foreign minister had raised previously.

Commitment to Egypt’s New Constitution Questioned after ‘Blasphemy’ Charge
ICC Note: The hopes for change in treatment of Egypt’s Christians have been called into question as a Christian has been charged with blasphemy for nothing more than liking a facebook page. The charges were brought against a Christian near Luxor, Egypt. The accusations alone were enough to spark violence and threats against his family.

U.S. agency urges Burma to scrap proposed religion laws
ICC Note: The Chairman of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) said yesterday that Burma’s move toward regulating religious conversions and marriages between people of different faiths has “no place in the 21st century” and urged that the draft laws be withdrawn. In the Buddhist- majority Burma, supported by Buddhist extremists and the President, the draft bill would require Buddhist women to seek permission from their parents and the authorities before marrying outside Buddhist faith or convert to another religion. According to the article, religious minorities, including Christians, may face increasing violence if the bill is passed. USCIRF recommended that the U.S. continue to designate Burma a “country of particular concern” for severe religious freedom violations.

Christian Community in Odisha, India Leveled by Local Authorities
ICC Note: Local authorities in Bhubaneswar, the capital of India's northeastern state of Odisha (formally called Orissa), have completely demolished 30 Christian homes and a church to make way for a road to be expanded. Christians in India, fear that persecution is likely to increase now that a Hindu nationalist government has been voted into power. Will incidents like this become more and more common?

Religious Minorities in India React to Appointment of Modi as New Prime Minister
ICC Note: Since the election of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to India's national government, many religious minorities have mixed reactions to the appointment of Narendra Modi. Many minorities, including Christians and Muslims, fear that Modi will revert to his Hindu nationalist past and create a new India that will be less hospitable for religious minorities. ICC Note: Meriam Yahia Ibrahim, a 27-year-old mother of two and wife to an American citizen, was sentenced to 100 lashes and death by a Public Order Court in Khartoum, Sudan. Implemented in 1991 by the sitting al-Bashir regime, Sudan's Public Order Code is largely te brainchild of famed famed Islamist, Hassan al-Turabi. Inspired by Sharia law, the code forbids interfaith marriages wherein the man is not a Muslim and criminalizes leaving Islam. Today, ICC will join 39 other organizations at the White House to call on the Obama Administration to take decisive action in pressuring Sudan into acquitting Meriam of all charges and ensuring her and her family safety when she is released.

New computer program aims to teach itself everything about any visual concept
In today's digitally driven world, access to information appears limitless. But when you have something specific in mind that you don't know, like the name of that niche kitchen tool you saw at a friend's house, it can be surprisingly hard to sift through the volume of information online and know how to search for it. Or, the opposite problem can occur -- we can look up anything on the Internet, but how can we be sure we are finding everything about the topic without spending hours in front of the computer? Computer scientists have created the first fully automated computer program that teaches everything there is to know about any visual concept.

With the right rehabilitation, paralyzed rats learn to grip again
After a large stroke, motor skills barely improve, even with rehabilitation. An experiment conducted on rats demonstrates that a course of therapy combining the stimulation of nerve fiber growth with drugs and motor training can be successful. The key, however, is the correct sequence: Paralyzed animals only make an almost complete recovery if the training is delayed until after the growth promoting drugs have been administered.

Scientists have developed a unique way to fingerprint oil, and have successfully identified Macondo Well oil, even after most of it has degraded.
